Overview

Highlights

  • Explore the lively city of Osaka, known for its wide variety of cuisine and entertainment
  • See a traditional Japanese geisha show, featuring both maiko and geiko performers
  • Experience the serene and relaxed atmosphere of an authentic intergenerational Japanese teahouse

Description

Visit the heart of Osaka, one of Japan's most bustling metropolises, known for its high-quality food and entertainment scenes. This modern setting perfectly counterbalances the traditional art form of geisha performances.

Usually aged between 15 and 20, maiko are apprentices, learning this ancient craft under the instruction of a more experienced geisha – referred to as a geiko. Visitors will enjoy the subtlety, grace, and expert skill of this uniquely Japanese show.

Insider tip

The teahouse is located close to the Shinsaibashi shopping district, which features one of Japan's most iconic shopping streets! Don't forget to pick up some souvenirs.
