About: Maligne Canyon

Maligne Canyon is the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. It measures a whopping 50 meters (160 ft) deep and makes for some truly breathtaking sightseeing and exploration all year round. The lush summer landscape of thick vegetation and chirping birds is replaced by an icy wonderland in winter, as waterfalls freeze, and pale light twinkles through giant icicles. A haven for wildlife with some of the best scenery in Jasper, Maligne Canyon is a must for the outdoorsy types.

The park also operates the Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre, which is dedicated to the rehabilitation of orphaned and injured wildlife. As the only full-service wildlife rehabilitation centre in the Southern Interior, the health centre accepts between over 400 animals annually from all over British Columbia.
