About: La Velarca

La Velarca, a houseboat designed by the renowned Milanese architecture firm BBPR (comprised of Gian Luigi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti, and Ernesto Nathan Rogers) in 1959, has gracefully returned to its original mooring in Ossuccio on Lake Como, opposite the Isola Comacina, following an extensive restoration.

This isn’t merely a houseboat; it’s a gem of modern architectural history, crafted by the same visionaries behind the Torre Velasca, a connection hinted at in its name, "Velarca."
