The Valle Delle Ferriere is a gorgeous, green path that winds upwards from Amalfi through the lush hills of the Amalfi Coast, past ancient abandoned mills, ironworks, waterfalls, and unspoiled natural vegetation.
The walk will transport you to a Mediterranean forest, with the scent of lemons from sloping terraces and the sounds of gushing waterfalls nearby. This area is known for its unique biodiversity and is the perfect habitat for cyclamen, wild orchids, and even a small carnivorous plant called Erica terminalis.
You might also spot colorful salamanders and a rare species of giant fern called the Woodwardia radicans, which dates back to the Tertiary Period.
Valle Delle Ferriere is located in the Italian province of Salerno.
