This was a great tour. This cathedral is worth spending some time in—it was even better with someone to explain the history and significance of this New Orleans landmark.

We had a great tour with Philip. He not only helped us understand this beautiful church, but also shared a lot of the history as well.

About: French Quarter

The French Quarter is the beating heart of New Orleans. Most NOLA visitors will find themselves strolling through it at some point, “go cup” in hand, admiring colonial-era buildings and soaking up bebop notes blowing out of old jazz bars.

This popular district is also a central starting point of many cultural tours and experiences in the city, including the hop-on hop-off bus tour, and the creepy mule-drawn New Orleans ghost tour.

Live Jazz at the Court of Two Sisters

The Court of Two Sisters

The historic Court of Two Sisters is a local family restaurant showcasing Creole cuisine and New Orleans classic food and drinks. Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, a sprawling wisteria vine covers the large open-air courtyard filled with the sounds of live jazz music during the daily jazz brunch. Three indoor dining rooms offer respite during the summer months. Named after sisters Emma and Bertha Camors, who lived at the property in the late 1800s, the Court of Two Sisters continues the three-generation tradition of entertaining in the courtyard to this day.
