Introduction
Join us as we delve into the experiences and insights of Kim, a dedicated professional who has been with Tiqets for over six years. She’s rooted in the vibrant city of Paris. Her hobbies include dancing, swimming, and exploring museums and attractions, which aligns perfectly with her role at Tiqets – a Regional Manager of France, and a vital part of the Tiqets’ Supply team.
Starting as a Market Coordinator back in 2017, she worked her way up to the role of Regional Manager in France. Kim shares her personal and professional journey, the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, and her love for the dynamic and ever-changing environment of Tiqets.

Supply team overview
The Supply team is responsible for acquiring and successfully maintaining relationships with venues to increase our market share within the Tours & Activities industry.
At Tiqets, we have a big international Supply team that plays a crucial role in connecting various venues such as attractions, museums, and theme parks with Tiqets’ instant delivery and mobile ticketing solution. The primary objective of the Supply team is to establish strong relationships with these venues and create a strategic advantage in available supply for Tiqets.
Our current operational regions include:
- Northern Europe
- Central, Southern Europe, and the Middle East
- Western and Eastern Europe
- US and Canada
- Asia – Pacific
- Latin America
To effectively manage the supply in each region, Tiqets appoints a Regional Director, who is based in a centrally located city within that region. Next to the Regional Director, comes the Regional Manager, Account Managers as well as Success Managers, and Regional/Market Coordinators. All of them are working together to not only represent Tiqets, connect new venues to the ticketing platform, and establish long-lasting relationships, but also to ensure quality and availability of tickets and experiences for customers across the different regions.
A sneak peek into our Paris office

Within our Parisian office, the team is guided by Olivier as a Regional Director, who oversees the Western Europe and LATAM Regions. Next to him, Kim is appointed as a Regional Manager of France.
And then there’s Zoe, a Regional Coordinator, who ensures that the inventory management runs smoothly and the offers are all up-to-date in terms of copy, pricing, and more.
We also have Lisa as our Success Manager in France – she’s the bridge between Tiqets and our partners and is working to enhance their presence on our website, increase sales, and push revenue growth.
And, let’s begin with Kim’s Journey: From Market Coordinator to Regional Manager
When I joined Tiqets as a Market Coordinator, my responsibility was to handle inventory management processes, keep an eye on reports, forecast demand, order new products, and load digital inventories onto the Tiqets’ platform, focusing on the venues in Paris. My goal was to ensure that all products were accurately displayed on our website and mobile app, and I wasn’t shy about requesting modifications when necessary.
Next to that, I lent a hand in the creation of new products and took care of various administrative tasks, such as handling content requests, managing calendar changes, and addressing finance-related matters like adjusting prices or products.
A year later, I transitioned to a more challenging position as an Account Manager of Paris, focusing on acquiring new venues as well as maintaining relationships with existing partners. I must admit that I became deeply immersed in understanding the market, and conducting market research to identify potential leads, which were acquired through various channels like marketing, trade events, personal networking, and other valuable sources. Negotiating mutually beneficial partnerships was a significant part of the job, as I aimed to expand Tiqets’ network of venues and enhance our offerings to travelers around the world.
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in expanding Tiqets’ network of venues, enriching the platform’s offerings, and providing unforgettable experiences to travelers worldwide.

Eventually, the promotion to the position of Regional Manager –overseeing the entire region of France – happened! This role came with the added responsibility of formulating and executing regional strategies, leading and coaching my team, and monitoring performance metrics while applying insights from data analysis and generating reports. It was a big step forward in my career!
This promotion came at a challenging time, for the whole Tiqets team and myself. It was January 2020, just when the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning to spread globally. The tourism industry was hit hard, and I found myself right in the midst of the storm.
With venues closing down and the tourism sector coming to a standstill, Tiqets faced significant challenges. Acquisitions and expansion of the network seemed impossible at the time. But together with my team, we’ve refused to back down! We tapped into our creativity and resourcefulness to navigate this shifting landscape. We took on several innovative projects and held constant discussions with our partners to explore new ways of doing business.
For example, we recognized the potential of domestic tourism and began focusing on creating experiences tailored to local visitors, a market segment that was gradually reopening at that time. We also organized an online roundtable discussion with our suppliers to better understand their concerns during these tough times and to share our ideas for the re-opening (marketing campaign, new features available, etc).
The team helped with organizing virtual guided tours of venues like Centre Pompidou, Musée d’Orsay, or Palais des Papes when it was still difficult for many people to travel.
My prior experience at Tiqets helped me navigate the challenges presented by the pandemic. I definitely acknowledge the importance of adaptability, flexibility, and embracing change, and also value effective communication with colleagues and partners. All of this provides a sense of continuity and stability during a time when uncertainty prevails.
The “key” to success at Tiqets
To stay happy, motivated, and fulfilled in my role at Tiqets, I keep several things in mind:
- Tiqets’ start-up mindset
- Every single day is different
- Company’s culture
- Opportunities for personal and professional growth
- New projects bringing new challenges
- Flexibility of remote work
- Collaboration with colleagues from different locations
Reflecting on what it takes to succeed at Tiqets, I would say that the ability to embrace change and adapt quickly is crucial! Being open to different projects and the dynamic nature of the company is equally important. Additionally, understanding different cultures and building strong relationships with colleagues are key factors in thriving at Tiqets.

Kim’s most memorable experiences at Tiqets
Among all my experiences at Tiqets, one stands out the brightest: filming a virtual visit of the Château de Versailles before opening hours, standing right next to Laurent Salomé, the Director of the National Museum of the Palaces of Versailles and Trianon. It felt like a private visit and a journey through history — an unreal experience – trust me!
I also cherish the moments when colleagues from our headquarters in Amsterdam visit our office in Paris. Those face-to-face interactions go a long way in building connections beyond virtual communication. Attending events and supplier gatherings has been a source of community and collaboration that I truly value. My journey at Tiqets has been filled with challenges, growth, and unforgettable experiences, and I’m excited to see where the future leads.
