Exhibitions

Hubert Duprat
Now on  - Jan 10, 2021

Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris presents Hubert Duprat's first eponymous retrospective. Combining the micro and the macro elements of the world into his work, Duprat uses everything from synthetics to coral.

The exhibitions questions the materials our world is made from and the value judgments we place on them. This is perhaps most poignantly demonstrated through his caddisfly larvae which are encrusted in gold and pearls. The exhibition presents Duprat's long-term oeuvre, showcasing works that have rarely been displayed since their creation.

Victor Brauner
Now on  - Jan 10, 2021

Enjoy a retrospective of Surrealist artist, Victor Brauner, at the Musée National d'Art Moderne for the first time since 1972. See his works in a chronological light, from their beginnings in Romania to their influence in pre and post-war Paris.

The exhibition's collaboration with writers and art historians will reveal more about Brauner's life, including his time in the south of France where, as a Jew, he was forced into hiding, turning to tarot cards, alchemy, spiritism, and the Kabbalah as his guiding path.

Sarah Moon
Now on  - Jan 10, 2021

Sarah Moon was a forerunner of her industry, transitioning from model to fashion photographer in the late 60s. Now, more than half a century later, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris has devoted an exhibition to her life's work.

The temporary collection features a number of Moon's films and highlights the recurrent themes in her photography as she hunted for the unexpected.
