Puente Nuevo is Ronda's 'new bridge', this impressive structure was completed in 1793. It took 40 years of construction and the deaths of 50 builders before work was complete. The bridge now spans the Tajo gorge, a 120-metre-deep chasm, and helps the Guadalevín River to flow.
