Jewish Cultural Quarter
The Jewish Cultural Quarter includes the Jewish Historical Museum, the educational Children's Museum (designed like a traditional Jewish home), the Portuguese Synagogue (built in 1675) and the Hollandsche Schouwburg (National Holocaust Memorial).
The Jewish Historical Museum itself is housed in four monumental synagogues near Waterlooplein, making it a great place to start on a family day out in central Amsterdam.

The Portuguese Synagogue is an amazing place to visit - nothing quite like it!
For a reasonably small cost you can visit 5 sites - nothing quite prepares you for it - don't miss this!
