Good
Definitely an evening visit makes the atmosphere so much better! We went at 1900 and there was plenty of “window shopping” to be done if that’s your thing. Lovely little museum with a good audio tour

About: Red Light District

Amsterdam's Red Light District is one of the oldest and most famous areas of the city. Entwined with the city's seafaring past, the Red Light District hosts some of the city's oldest structures built in the traditional Dutch style. Wander the classic cobblestone streets and admire high church towers – including the Oude Kerk – around every corner.

While the Red Light District is named for the infamous "red lights" that adorn the alleyways, there's so much more to explore. Red Light Secrets and Our Lord in the Attic are some of the museum attractions tucked in between shops, restaurants, and pubs. There are also guided and audio narrated tours of the Red Light District that'll fill you in on the area's fascinating history.
