You're good to go!

Health and safety measures are in place so you can enjoy culture with confidence.

  • Get the most from your Iriomote-jima vacation with a trip to the beautiful Kura Falls – it means luck to the locals!
  • If you like to stand, opt to get there on a stand up paddle board (SUP) or if you'd rather sit, choose a canoe
  • Explore a stunning mangrove area in this remote and beautiful part of Japan; your guide will even take your photos!

If you're feeling a little down on your luck, it's time for a change! Try this canoeing adventure to Japan's luckiest waterfall. Kura River is bang in the heart of the 'Japanese Amazon' and "Kura" means "bringing luck" in Okinawa's local language.

Make your wish as you paddle through the mangroves on either a stand up paddleboard or canoe. Your guide will lead the way and they'll even take your photo, so you can keep hold of the magical memories.
