Oak Alley Plantation is a historic plantation which offers tours of the grounds to visitors. It's located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, in the community of Vacherie, St. James Parish, Louisiana, U.S. Oak Alley is famous for its picturesque alley made up of a double row of live southern oak trees which were planted in the early 18th century.
