The original Madame Tussaud, Marie, created her first wax sculpture in 1777 (of French philosopher/writer Voltaire). Now, all these years later, the principle is still going strong. This venerable institution combines modern celebrity with historical figures, sports legends, silver screen icons and cultural giants. You’ll find the British royal family rubbing shoulders with George Clooney, and you can contrast One Direction with the original boy band, The Beatles.
You can go on a selfie rampage at Madame Tussauds London, with your favorite stars of music, film, and the arts (not so many philosopher/writers these days though).

The only downside was the expensive picture purchases - my daughter took pictures on all Star Wars attractions and wanted them all, but for 1 it was £14! I already paid a lot to get parking near the venue and the package itself, the price was just ridiculous.
Overall, very good experience, the prices for the photos and merchandise was a let down.
