Downtown Denver Aquarium FAQ
Downtown Aquarium Denver has a parking lot located across the street from the facility, which takes both card and cash.
If you plan to dine at the aquarium restaurant, the restaurant will validate your parking pass if you eat after 6 PM. Please bring your parking card into the restaurant with you.
Yes, you can bring in outside food and drinks into the aquarium. However, the following items are prohibited in the garden area:
- Hard and soft coolers
- Bottled water
- Glass containers
- Food (such as sandwiches, meals, snacks etc.)
- Off-premise alcohol
Additionally, you may not leave the Downtown Aquarium with alcohol that was purchased at the aquarium dining areas.
If you'd prefer, there are dining areas inside the Downtown Aquarium Denver, including a restaurant on the 1st floor.
With over 1 million gallons of underwater worlds to explore, you could easily spend all day.
To fully experience everything the aquarium has to offer, including a Mystic Mermaid performance and stingray meet-and-greets, plan to spend at least 2-3 hours.

It is well worth the trip. We were able to pet sting rays, jelly fish, and a horse shoe crab. There also the opportunity to feed the sting rays. What fun!
