We had a brilliant tour guide Jason, who informed us of the history of the prison from the 1600s right up to when it closed in 2013. Well worth a visit

I have served time in shepton mallet. So thought I’d return as a visitor lol. I recommend the guided tour as you will get more of an insight about the history.
