Visit the Seville Museum of Fine Arts, Spain’s second-largest art gallery.

Explore its collection with a guide and learn about the history behind its paintings and sculptures.

Built in the 13th century and remodeled in the 17th century, the building features Renaissance and Baroque architecture, including the Claustro de los Bojes and the Claustro Mayor.

It became a museum in 1835, originally called the “Painting Museum,” and displays works from convents and monasteries seized during the 19th century.

See Gothic, Renaissance, Mannerist, and Baroque works by artists such as Torrigiano, Pacheco, Valdés Leal, Zurbarán, and Alonso Cano.

Visit the room dedicated to Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, housed in the former convent church, and view sculptures by Martínez Montañés and Juan de Mesa from the Convent of Santa María de las Cuevas.

The tour ends with 19th-century paintings from artists like Gonzalo Bilbao, Antonio María Esquivel, and José Villegas Cordero.
