Our Guide Danielle was very enthustiastic and had a great knowledge of the castle. The only downside with the tour was that it was an enormous amount of people. Probably caused by the closure of parts of the castle due to renovation. The gardens was even more impressive than the castle itself.

Audrey was awesome. Also the line without a guide was literally about two hours long. With a guide it was pretty short around 20 minutes. Totally worth paying.

Loved the tour, it was amazing to see this place. Ruben was a very informative, attentive guide and we had very good service from Guidatours all around. However, our scheduled time to go in was 4.40, we didn't get in till 5, and the palace closed at 6! The tour was for the kings state apartments only but that took an hour so we didn't get to see any other part of the palace. Oh well, so we went out to the gardens and thought we would take the garden train around but that and the golf carts had closed up at 5.45 despite the gardens themselves not closing until 8.30. There weren't many people around which was very pleasant, but it was too hot to walk around and we were tired. This tour needs to start earlier, but of course, this would mean more queuing and more congestion in the palace. Don't miss seeing Versailles though, it's a must do experience in Paris.
