There's more to see nearby

  • Enjoy a sailing trip from Dublin on a comfy boat, and see sights like Convention Centre, the sparkly Eastlink Bridge, Dublin Port and Docklands, and more
  • See Dun Laoghaire Harbour and its lighthouse, wildlife reserve Bull Island and other coastal gems
  • Visit Howth, most famous for its fish restaurants and harbor seals!

The best way to see those Irish charms is from a boat! Get a new perspective on this sailing trip from Dublin, on to the beautiful Dun Laoghaire Harbour and the traditional fishing town of Howth. See lighthouses, uninhabited islands and, if you're lucky, some seals along the way!

Board your boat at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, outside Ferryman’s Pub in the City Center. Once you're seated, set sail for the pretty Dun Laoghaire Harbour, taking in a whole new view of Dublin as you go. See the Convention Centre, the sparkly Eastlink Bridge, Dublin Port and Docklands, and more.

Formerly a major port of entry from Great Britain, from 1821 to 1920, Dun Laoghaire was once named Kingstown. See the East Pier lighthouse and the walkers with their equally windswept dogs.

Heading on past the uninhabited Dalkey island, you'll see Clontarf, famous for the Battle of Clontarf in 1014, and world wildlife reserve Bull Island. When you reach Howth, famous for its delicious fish restaurants, hopefully the seals will be waiting to greet you, swimming in the harbor!
