The museum is in two parts - the underground Mail Rail train and the museum itself. The ride on the train was great fun and very interesting, with commentary during the ride. The main museum covers the whole history of the Royal Mail and has a lot of intersting exhibits. Well worth a visit!

I would highly recommend this museum. It was a great day out, and despite the size of the train, it was very educational with the running commentary from the front of the train. I for one never knew that such trains ran underground carrying post. Nor did I know about the blue pillar boxes used just for airmail post, having never seen them. Well worth a visit.

Postmuseet er et nyt museum, der drives af Postal Heritage Trust, som dækker fem århundreders historie gennem øjnene på dets ikoniske postvæsen. Museet, der åbnede i 2017, tager besøgende med på en rejse ind i Storbritanniens fantastiske sociale og kommunikationshistorie. Der er også en underjordisk togtur gennem et 100 år gammelt tognetværk.
Det er let at nå fra undergrundsstationerne Farringdon, Chancery Lane, Russell Square og Charing Cross.
