从1940年到1945年，特雷津的小堡垒作为布拉格盖世太保的监狱。
这个位于布拉格以北约90英里的小镇被纳粹改名为特莱西恩施塔特，成为捷克民族受迫害的地方，同时也是通往东部集中营的运输点。
1941年11月24日和12月4日，纳粹将大约1300名犹太男子送往特莱西恩斯塔特。这些工人组成了Aufbaukommando（建筑小组），后来在集中营中被称为AK1和AK2。这些人被派去把这个只有7000人居住的小镇改造成一个可以容纳6万人的集中营。
1994年，这里开设了一个新的永久性展览，专门介绍政治监狱的历史。
