The trip presents a unique opportunity to engage in the intriguing Taiwanese tea culture, tracing its cycle from seed to cup. The tour starts with a fascinating Maokong Gondola ride, offering beautiful views of Southern Taipei from a high perspective.

Upon landing, a leisurely stroll awaits along either the Maokong Tea Fragrance Loop Trail or the Maokong Zhangshu Trail. Each path unfolds scenic landscapes, begging to be explored. The expedition continues at the Taipei Tea Promotion Center for Tieguanyin and Baozhong, where the displays reveal the magical world of Taiwanese tea.

  • Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes earlier than the pick-up time
  • Show your smartphone ticket to your guide at the pick-up point
  • Pick-up point: MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station (BL14 /O07), Exit 2
  • Drop-off point: MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station (BL14 /O07) or Xinyi Shopping District (Taipei 101)
  • The tour will be conducted in Mandarin, English, and Japanese (Japanese commentary will only be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting on April 1, 2024)
  • Vehicle type: 20-seater minibus or 9-seater minivan (according to the number of participants)
  • Make sure you have enough cash to cover your costs for food, drinks, souvenirs, tips, etc. Convenience stores and most of the eateries in Taiwan don't accept credit cards as a form of payment

Itinerary:

  • 08:30: Meet your tour guide at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station (BL14 /O07), Exit 2
  • 09:00-10:00: Local tea shop and tea factory in Pinglin District
  • 10:30-11:40: Thousand Island Lake and Bagua Tea Plantation in Shiding District
  • 12:40-14:30: Shenkeng Old Street (lunch on own arrangement)
  • 15:00-16:00: Elephant Mountain hiking trail
  • 16:30: At the end of the tour, you may choose to leave at Xinyi Shopping District (Taipei 101) or MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station
