Join a guide and take a walk through the woods of Calabria which showcases the real beauty of the Sila National Park.

The highlight of any visit is the chance to see the Giants of the Sila – these trees dominate the skyline, and will stagger you as you look up from their awesomely wide trunks. The Mollo family began planting Calabrian pines and sycamores on their land around 350 years ago and since then, one of the most beautiful forests in Europe has had time to grow.

Nature has been allowed to take its course in Sila National Park. As you take to the walking trails and step under the boughs of fallen giants, make sure to keep an eye out for the local wildlife!

How to get there

From the Tyrrhenian side or the A3 motorway: The Reserve can be reached from the A3 motorway, exit at Cosenza (South or North), continue towards Camigliatello Silano on the SS 107 (Silana-Crotonese) until the exit for the locality "Croce di Magara". Follow the signs to the Reserve, which is just 3 km from this exit
From the Ionian coast: From the SS 106, near Crotone, take the SS 107 to the "Croce di Magara" exit, where you follow the signs for 3 km to the Reserve
