Women In Comics
Now on  - Jul 10, 2021

Indulge your fantasies at Women In Comics, an extraordinary collective of 25 artists who made the history of North American comics. As well as showcasing the first women to work in comics, you'll see everything from the vintage comics of the 50s to the most striking graphic novels, and explore themes like love, sexuality, creativity, discrimination, and independence. This colorful exhibition explores the psychedelia of the 70s and underground comics, up to the mainstream contemporary scene of Marvel and DC Comics.

In the lovingly restored former Department of Health, comes the chance to immerse yourself in the world of early 20th-century Italian Expressionism. It's a brightly lit, sun-flooded new space that's well worth a couple of hours if you're near the Colosseum and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, on the Esquilino Hill.

This small but beautiful museum showcases the collections by Roman builder Claudio Cerasi and his wife Elena. See almost 100 pieces by the likes of De Chirico, Donghi, Capogrossi, Balla, Casorati, Pirandello, Severini, Cambellotti and don't miss Jan Fabre's Director of the Stars in the center of the space.

Plug into your optional audio guide for added insights on artists like Severini, Cambellotti, Casorati, and maybe even take your lunch break in the beautiful Bistro.
