  • Hear stories from the communist era and learn how life was in Czechoslovakia during the Cold War period
  • Visit a real nuclear bunker and the Cold War Museum, and learn about the biggest statue of Stalin ever built in the world
  • See a real nuclear bunker from the 1950s, hidden 4 floors deep and built for 5000 people to survive a nuclear blast

Discover the background and stories from the communist era and experience how life was in Czechoslovakia in the Cold War period.

On this tour, you'll hear about how communism sparked paranoia, spying, violence, and fear. Learn stories of terror, propaganda, political prisoners, and executions.

Learn the history of communism in the region, from its terrifying beginnings, through the Prague Spring and Russia's deadly response in 1968, and eventually to the Velvet Revolution and the end of communism which prompted a new future in 1989.

See sights such as the former secret police headquarters, the Velvet Revolution memorial, the former worker's district complete with its typical socialist, 1970s-style concrete architecture, and a unique Cold War relic - a giant hidden nuclear bunker.

You'll visit to the Nuclear Bunker Museum, which includes Cold War exhibitions and a gasmask workshop, and receive a copy of the nuclear war survival guide.

It's dark, it's shocking, but it's more than you'd learn from a history book.

What a wonderful experience, if I could rate it an extra star I would. What made the experience fantastic was Pavel, he was super informative, told the information from a local who understood the times and the feelings of the people. He wasn’t reading from a script like so many of these tours do, but was super interactive and giving information while having us interact by answering questions in very clear to understand detail. Was an experience that I’m very glad I did
