About: Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi island consists of two large islands – Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. You’ll find a number of popular tourist locations at Phi Phi, including Monkey Beach, Maya Bay and Pi Leh Lagoon.

It's a great location for snorkelling and witnessing Thailand's diverse marine life. Maya Bay is sheltered by 100-metre-high cliffs on three sides and has become one of Thailand's most famous tourist attractions since The Beach was filmed there in 1999.

On the southern side of Koh Phi Phi Leh, you’ll find Loh Sama which offers incredible snorkelling in its beautiful corals. Boats drop anchor in the shallow waters, allowing you to swim, snorkel, and even feed the tropical fish.

Pi Leh Bay is excellent for swimming, with perfect snorkelling opportunities at its entrance. This long thin bay is pretty shallow and only accessible to speedboats and longtail boats.

Phra Nang Beach is located on the southern strip of sand in Railay Bay. Measuring 450 metres in length, and reachable by long-tail boat, its fine, white sand, crystal-clear safes shallows for swimming, as well as a coral reef for snorkelling in, giant cliffs for climbing and sea caves for exploring, Phra Nang is as close to Thai island paradise as it gets.

Explore the little paradise of Poda on a longtail boat cruise, which is the best way to ensure beach time on one of the best beaches in Krabi. Hong Island – located in the Than Bok Khorani national park – is home to world-class landscapes. Surrounded by indigo sea and with a soft powder-like beach, it's the perfect escape. Ko Hong takes its name from the island's lagoon – this “chamber” translates to Hong and Ko means island. The namesake lagoon is best accessed at low tide by kayak, so you can appreciate the dramatic change in the water's colour from a deep emerald green to a clear turquoise. You'll arrive at the entrance to the lagoon via a dramatic cliff passage that's definitely deserving of a photograph on your way out.
