Ich war mit zwei Freundinnen gekommen ind wir könnten, jede für sich, wie auch jede allein, das riesige Schloss zuerst mit dem guten, ausführlich erklärenden und zu Späßen aufgelegten Führer Raum...
Ich war mit zwei Freundinnen gekommen ind wir könnten, jede für sich, wie auch jede allein, das riesige Schloss zuerst mit dem guten, ausführlich erklärenden und zu Späßen aufgelegten Führer Raum für Raum kennen lernen. Anschließend blieb noch genügend Zeit, ganz individuell die interessantesten, schönsten Dinge, Gemälde, Gerätschaften und unterschiedlichen Eindrücke der vielen Räume nochmals richtig genießen. Was will man mehr?!

Nestled in the Rosaliengebirge (Rosalia) mountain range, Forchtenstein Castle is a wonderful example of Middle Age fortification. Constructed for nobles in the 1400s, it now serves as a fascinating museum that shows off the wealth and power of bygone royals.
The castle has changed hands many times, including the House of Habsburg. It now rests – and has for many years – in the possession of the noble Hungarian Esterházy House.
Feast your eyes on the stunning Esterházy Palace in Vienna's Eisenstadt - one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Austria and a venue for festivals and events. Built in the late 13th century, the Palace Chapel and the world famous Haydnsaal, plus the banquet hall, and wine cellars all offer a glimpse into the life at the court of the Princes Esterházy. The Haydn exhibition explores the life of the musical maestro Joseph Haydn, who served as the composer here for 40 years.
In the oldest part of the Hofburg Imperial Palace you'll find perhaps the greatest treasury in the world. It holds gems, crowns, scepters, orbs, and regalia collected and hoarded by the Habsburg Empire over a period of more than 800 years. The items are visually stunning and historically significant. In fact, the actual Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire rests here.
In addition to the worldly mementos of kings, queens, and emperors, there's also an ecclesiastical collection which features relics ascribed to various saints.
