* You must be able to swim
* No prior experience required
* Make sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet
* Bring sunscreen, water, biodegradable insect repellent, a towel and spare clothes
- Cycle down a century-old towpath, Ruta del Cami de Sirga, which was once used by animals to haul rice-filled llaguts upstream
- After cycling between rice fields, and learning the secrets of rice cultivation, get ready to go kayaking
- Paddle down the Ebro with its forested banks filled with flora and fauna, and keep a keen eye out for rare bird life
See a different side of Spain, and ditch the beach to explore the beauty of its wetlands. This natural park is a nesting ground for a large number of waterfowl and migratory birds, and rice production is still an essential part of the economy for towns on the delta.
During this self-guided excursion, you'll get to experience a glimpse of both. With a bike ride between rice fields and a tranquil kayak cruise down the Ebro Delta, you'll end the day feeling refueled by nature.
