Malta's Blue Lagoon is a well-known local beach and lagoon on the island of Comino. Its name is derived from the crystal-clear waters which – as you may have guessed – are tinted a spectacular shade of light blue. The Blue Lagoon is a popular spot for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, and other aquatic activities.
Hondoq Bay is located on the eastern side of the island of Gozo, and features a scenic beach overlooking Comino. It's a well-visited sightseeing and relaxing spot for locals and visitors alike; some of the most popular activities to do around the bay include swimming and snorkelling, as well as hiking across the surrounding terrain.
The Valletta City Gate is an iconic part of the city's identity, with a history dating back all the way to the 1560s. Five different gates have stood here over the centuries, protecting the city and welcoming new arrivals. The present gate, designed by famous architect Renzo Piano, was completed in 2014.
