Not a very long journey out of Reykjavík, you can do it in less than half a day. It’s a relatively short spell inside and underground, but it’s really interesting to see and on my trip the guide was super interested in engaging with the group and answering any questions. Not perhaps a trip to do more than once though.

Great experience! Especially when they turned the lights off

Lovely guide had a fantastic time. Super cool when the lights are turned off for a minute to enjoy the total darkness
