First and foremost, unfortunately on my trip the Northern Lights did not come out to play. That is the roll of the dice you take. But that did mean that (if the lights don’t co-operate) you could mostly spend two hours bobbing about on the water in the darkness, although you can get some nice nighttime photography of the mountains and surrounding area including the Imagine Peace Tower light if you’re there while it’s lit. You might get a free drinks shot though, if the Northern ones don’t appear though.
