월터커극장 소개
1921년, 월터 커 극장 (Walter Kerr Theatre) 이 원래 이름인 리츠 (The Ritz) 로 문을 열었습니다. 슈버츠가 소유하고 허버트 크랩 (Herbert J. Krapp) 이 디자인한 이 극장은 앰배서더 극장 (Ambassador Theatre) 의 자매 극장입니다.
1939년부터 CBS와 ABC는 이 공간을 사용하여 라디오와 TV 프로그램을 녹화했습니다. 1970년대에 다시 영화관으로 개조되었지만 1983년에 합법성으로 복원되었습니다. 현재 소유주인 Jujamcyn Theatres는 1990년에 수백만 달러를 들여 극장을 복원했으며 그 이후로 브로드웨이 공연을 성공적으로 마쳤습니다.
