The plantation and its history are important and well told. The audio tour provides good information but wish I could’ve had a guided tour. Really appreciated the history provide of rebellion. The last few stops of the tour are the most impactful.

I enjoyed the educational session at the property. I wish I could have visited the church but hurricane Ida took the roof. If you can visit you will not be unhappy with the experience. I'm extremely satisfied that the family chose to focus on the enslaved humans.

A mess. We thought we were booking a bus ride, then a tour with a guide. In fact, it was a self guided audio tour and we had to dish out an additional $28 to join tour with guide.

A mess. We thought we were booking a bus ride, then a tour with a guide. In fact, it was a self guided audio tour and we had to dish out an additional $28 to join tour with guide.
Our guide was BORING. He droned on without making the slaves’ lives as exhausting, brutal and mind numbing as they were. I had been in this tour before through another agency and the guide was terrific and interacted with adults and kids.
