The Portuguese Synagogue was absolutely inspiring. The sanctuary was wonderful. And the artifacts in the various rooms were amazing. We enjoyed the synagogue as well as the neighboring Joods...
The Portuguese Synagogue was absolutely inspiring. The sanctuary was wonderful. And the artifacts in the various rooms were amazing. We enjoyed the synagogue as well as the neighboring Joods Museum, which was so educational and well done.

It takes you back to the time from when the synagogue was built. No electricity and no heat. Amazing that the members kept it that way for hundreds of years. Very impactful.
