The Cathedral of Porto is a Romanesque-Gothic building dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the Cathedral went through major renovations that resulted in Baroque features, adding to the diversity of styles in the construction. Inside, it still retains the appearance of a fortress-church, with battlements. The beautiful rose window form the 12th century and the loggia or side porch designed by Nicolau Nasoni in the 18th century, facing the city, are two of the most beautiful features of the Sé.

Cálem Caves, or Porto Cálem, was established in 1859 and is known as the definitive port experience. Guided tours tell the history of port wine production in the region and visitors can also enjoy a wine tasting in the underground cellars. Cálem Caves is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal.
