Getting There

Montserrat is a one-hour drive from Barcelona. You can go by car to the top, but the parking there has an extra fee and is often full. The best option, if you'd like to enjoy the view on your way to the top, is the cable car (Funicular Aeri De Montserrat).

Easy to book and all worked to plan. Cable car ride stunning and the monastery well worth the visit. The walks also make it a wonderful day trip!

Beautiful, special and well worth visiting! The Basilica is lovely and the museum holds an impressive collection of European and Spanish art plus a good history of the monastery section.
