London Eye FAQs

All eyes are on the London Eye when tourists arrive, so it's best to avoid peak times – between 11:00 and 15:00.

Instead, plan to arrive right when the attraction opens, or just before it closes. If you get lucky, you may even witness a sunset over the Thames.

The London Eye is located on the River Thames, with a view of the river on one side, and the Jubilee Gardens on the other.

This giant Ferris wheel stands tall at 135 m (443 ft) above London with incredible views of Westminster Bridge, Whitehall Gardens, and even Big Ben on a clear day.

Centrally located in the middle of the bustling city of London, the London Eye is easy to find.

The nearest tube station is Waterloo – alight here and exit on the South Bank. From there, it's a 5-minute walk to the London Eye (you can't miss it!).

Took my 12 year old grandson. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience despite the very wet weather which meant visibility wasn't as good as we'd hoped.

Our ride on the London Eye was slow but satisfying. From the beginning of the rise, continuing at the top and until the landing, you can see London from all angles. The Palace, Parliament and the sprawl of the city all come into clear view. A worthwhile overview.
