Getting There:

Take the Circumvesuviana train at Naples Garibaldi station and get off at Ercolano Scavi.

Tickets are sold exclusively online, make sure to get your own to access the venue

How to reach:

By bus: from Naples central station [Piazza Garibaldi] take the Naples-Vesuvius line of the EAVBUS [info at eavsrl.it] near the Terminus hotel and get off at the Quota 1000 stop. Reach the ticket office at the Imbò refuge by following the signs.
By car: driving along the A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway take the Ercolano exit and follow the signs for Vesuvius National Park [via Cupa Monti then via Vesuvius], drive along the road for about 8 km until you reach the ticket office at the Imbò refuge on the left, a few meters before the end of the driveway.

Een perfecte combinatie om te doen in 1 dag. Voormiddag Herculaneum (+/- 2.5 uur), in de namiddag Vesuvius bezocht met een tijdslot om 16u20. De Vesuvio Express genomen om 15u, nog een 20 minuten...

Een perfecte combinatie om te doen in 1 dag. Voormiddag Herculaneum (+/- 2.5 uur), in de namiddag Vesuvius bezocht met een tijdslot om 16u20. De Vesuvio Express genomen om 15u, nog een 20 minuten gewacht en dan de trip te voet naar de krater. Spectaculair uitzicht! Zeker een aanrader!
