About: Grand Bazaar

The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is one of the world's largest and oldest covered markets. It features no less than 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops, covering a total area of 30,700 square meters.

Every day, between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors mingle and barter for produce and wares, a tradition that goes back centuries and has remained more or less since the days of ancient Byzantium and Constantinople.
