Our tour guide and bus ride were very good. The issue was at the mine. Our group there was half German speaking and half English speaking but he only talked to the German speakers. He was clearly irritated that he had to deal with us. He did not provide clear information that was needed to safely navigate the slides leading to one of our group being injured.

Our driver & guide was Walter who did a nice job wearing both hats. The two slides going into the depths of the salt mine were fun and took only a few seconds (initially I was a bit afraid, but the ride took less than 10 seconds). The history was interesting and gave me an appreciation of what salt miners do. After the salt mine tour we went inside the gift shop and purchased a few items (salt, of course). We were also given free time in Berchtesgaden for about 1 1/2 hours.
