Cabárceno Nature Park

The Cabárceno Nature Park isn't your conventional zoo or natural park. Man has helped shape its beauty from a primitive karst landscape that was once a 750 hectare open-pit mining operation. El Soplao Cave is a wonderland of speleology, with displays of stalactites, stalagmites, eccentrics, dog-tooth crystals, and more. Gaudí's El Capricho

Built when he was just 31 years old, Gaudí's El Capricho is one of the early works of Catalonia's iconic architect and is one of the only buildings designed by Gaudí that is not located in Catalonia. Instead, this beautiful summer house is located in pastoral Cantabria, in northern Spain. The building is unmistakably Gaudí, but also shows clear Orientalist and Mudéjar influences, often seen in his early career. The house features an eye-catching Persian air minaret with a bold green, red, and gold color scheme.
