About: El Soplao Cave

El Soplao Cave is a wonderland of speleology, with displays of stalactites, stalagmites, eccentrics, dog-tooth crystals, and more. Discovered at the beginning of the 20th century, the cavern is named after the blowing air that occurs when a tunnel with less oxygen perforates another.

In addition to its geological value, the cave and its surroundings are home to an exceptional heritage of industrial mining archaeology, with more than 20 km of galleries.
