1 hour and 15 minutes
  • Explore the macabre history of Edinburgh and see the sights of grizzly murders and torture
  • See famous sights like Edinburgh Castle, The New Town, Grassmarket, Greyfriar’s Kirk, The Old Town, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile
  • Learn from the charismatic conductor as he recounts his spooky stories on an ex-funeral bus!

Edinburgh has many intriguing spirits, but for once we're not talking about Scotch. Experience the other - more spectral - kind on this spooky evening tour. Sit back as your conductor whisks you through Edinburgh's most brutal bits of history on an ex-funeral bus! You'll hear about murders, witch hunts, torture, and hauntings. Prepare to be scared!

Board your Edinburgh Ghost Bus from Waverley Bridge, (next to Princes St Gardens), for more than an hour of gruesome fun in the Scottish capital. From Edinburgh Castle to The New Town, Grassmarket, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile, you'll see the haunted hotspots that make people's blood run cold.

Your vehicle for the trip is a macabre ex-funeral bus, your creepy conductor will spin true-ish tales of terror, tortures, and hauntings. Expect plenty of gallows humor.

You'll soon understand why there are so many restless spirits in old Edinburgh! And after this Ghost Bus Tour you may just need a dram of Scotch in order to settle your own restless spirit.

Me and my boyfriend went on this tour fearing people in costumes but expecting some dark history of Edinburgh’s past. The Tour guide was in costume, but he was very kind and funny and told us about the 1700’s witch hunts and hangings. All in all it was great fun, but if you want a more in depth overview of the dark history of Edinburgh, maybe you should skip this one.

We has an absolutely amazing time last night on the ghost bus tour. Lots of info, lots of laughs and lots of screams. I was here with a group of 8 friends but will defo be back with the family! Brilliant end to a great day in Edinburgh.

Booked this on a whim and so glad we did! Great host with lots of character and made it really fun! Loved seeing more of Edinburgh than we might have done walking and learning the history of the city in nice easy chunks with some humour thrown in made for a very interesting experience. Definitely recommend.

First half was good and tour guide was funny but half way through thru turned the cheese up and the “ghost of Jennie” was a bit wtf??!! If it had continued to just funny, it would have been better.
