Lovely cathedral and not as intentions as many churches. Beautiful tiling on the terrace and fabulous views. Really good value at €3 entry.

It was good to skip the queue but felt uncomfortable as there are no signs to let you know that you can skip ahead, and when you do get to the front of the queue you have to push in and verify your ticket.

About: Catedral do Porto

The Cathedral of Porto is a Romanesque-Gothic building dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. During the 17th and 18th centuries, the Cathedral went through major renovations that resulted in Baroque features, adding to the diversity of styles in the construction. Inside, it still retains the appearance of a fortress-church, with battlements. The beautiful rose window form the 12th century and the loggia or side porch designed by Nicolau Nasoni in the 18th century, facing the city, are two of the most beautiful features of the Sé.
