From a history standpoint it was really informative as our guide gave us to beginning to end history of South Africa. He pointed out every city that we passed and gave some history of each place as well as how apartheid affected South Africans. The penguins were the last stop on the tour and it was one of the best parts. You have to pay for the penguins entrance as well as one other. Overall this your was pretty good. I don’t know if the wine tour was a part of the tour but our guide took us there. I did feel rushed though as I did for many other parts of the tour as he told us that he just had so much for us to see and we just had to keep time. We didn’t see Seal Island or one other stop but the lighthouse was cool and so were the views.

Groot Constantia Wine Estate

Groot Constantia Wine Estate is the oldest and most prestigious in South Africa. Impressive! What's even more impressive is the selection of award-winning wines you can try on a Groot Constantia Wine Estate tour. We don't say this often, but, it's not just about the wine! With a history that goes way back to 1685, there's tradition and intrigue aplenty at this national heritage site in the Groot Constantia Valley. Visitors can explore the cellars, vineyards, and manor house, and there are also guided tours of the historic Cloete Cellar. Add to that some of the finest restaurants in the region, and you've got yourself a day trip to remember!
