This was one of the most wonderful tours in Dublin! We had an exceptional guide, Fergus, who is incredibly knowledgeable about this tour and EVERYTHING in Ireland! He is also on an architechtural committee, so he is so knowledgeable. The book of Kells will be closed as of sometime next year in order to fireproof the building and the books, given what happened to Notre Dame. While the government says it will be closed 5-7 years, it will be longer. The Book of Kells experience, while good, isn't the same as visiting the Long Library! Getting to the library through Trinity College in and of itself is so interesting! Stunning campus!
