Once you have seen Pompeii, Herculaneum is a must. You can easily, on your own, do both. Parking at H. Is Great!!! We were there late in afternoon and felt like we had a private viewing.

Herculaneum was great. An easily accessible site with a lot to see all contained in a small and manageable size. Get there early before the rude, pushy and noisy your groups arrive for the best...
