The only great great sadness was we could not get into San Marco for the other half of the exhibition
I was promised I did not need to book tickets but unfortunately this was not true

What an incredible exhibition. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Fra Angelico's work in the Palazzo Strozzi setting. SUPERB!

Palazzo Strozzi är en av Florens stora renässansbostäder. Den kraftfulla bankiren Filippo Strozzi den äldre beställde palatset i slutet av 1400-talet och beställde rivning av ett stort antal befintliga byggnader i processen.
Palazzo Strozzi vi ser idag är en fristående och vackert proportionerad struktur som övertrumfar Medici-palatset i Strozzis affärs- och politiska rivaler, familjen Medici. Familjen Strozzi lämnade så småningom fastigheten under den fascistiska perioden, och staden Florens har förvaltat den sedan 1999.
Besökare kommer nu för att se några av de mest spännande utställningarna som hålls i Italien varje år.
