If you're a fellow feline fanatic, this won't disappoint you. Enjoy a beautiful variety of art with cats in it in any form, as well as located in a 17th century home. I would most definitely come back!

The museum was really cool. Lots of different paintings, pictures and posters of cats and various bits of information. Also a number of cats were strolling around which were incredibly friendly...

Lots of cat art, all interested and unique and really endearing for any cat lover. Big bonus is that there is a group of live in cats who just mull around as they like and are adorable

Om: Kattskåpet

Kattskåpet (Het KattenKabinet) ligger puuurrfectly i "Golden Bend" i Herengracht. Beläget på det klassiskt möblerade pianot i ett anrikt kanalhus från 1600-talet, finns det många rum fulla av kattutrustning (och riktiga katter).

Detta hus (och huset bredvid) tillhörde en gång familjen Van Eeghen. 1985 köptes den av Stichting Herengracht 497 och restaurerades och blev så småningom den kattfyllda fantasi den är idag.

Det är en enkel spårvagns- eller cykeltur från de flesta platser i Amsterdam.
