If you want to see more animals (and fewer people), get there early, or in the late afternoon just before closing. Animals are most active in the morning, and you'll avoid the crowds if you visit on a weekday.

There are several easy and convenient ways to get to Zoo Atlanta to spend a day with the animals!

By car:

  • Cherokee Avenue parking lot (800 Cherokee Avenue, S.E., Atlanta GA 30315)
  • Grant Park Gateway parking facility (759 Boulevard S.E., Atlanta GA 30312)
  • Most public parking lots will charge per hour. Plan to spend at least 3 hours at Zoo Atlanta

By public transport:

By bike:

  • Use the Relay Bike Share program to rent, ride, and dock bikes in over 50 locations in Atlanta
  • Hubs are conveniently located on Cherokee Avenue (right outside Zoo Atlanta), 200 Park Avenue and Memorial Drive, and the King Memorial MARTA Station
