The Art of Drinking Museum displays over 3,500 artefacts from the Adrian Bridge Collection, Portugal’s largest private collection of drinking vessels.
The exhibition covers 9,000 years of history, from prehistoric ceramics to modern glassware, showing how different civilizations used these objects in daily life, celebrations, and rituals.
Items include vessels once owned by emperors, popes, princes, and warriors, as well as pieces linked to battles, decorated with precious metals, or that glow in the dark. Some date back to before the written word, highlighting the long history of drinking across cultures.
